Maine Focus and the University of Maine Humanities Center asked you to celebrate Maine’s sense of place and submit a digital postcard of your Maine culture. You sent in lots of images and stories of Maine. See them by clicking here

From a camp in Stetson with no phone service, to a hand-built sugar shack, to a lumberman’s satirical protest song, there are many Maine things to celebrate.

Tying in with the project is a Pecha Kucha event at 6:30 p.m. Friday at COESPACE, located at 48 Columbia St., Bangor. Then, on Saturday, check out the offerings of Downtown Bangor Public Humanities Day.

As Me Me Riordan wrote in her submission, “Maine welcomes, offers newness and challenges me with the variety of its ways.”
